My debut into the world of orchestral composition came at the age of sixteen, when I achieved second place in the Chamber Strings of Melbourne Young Composer of the Year competiion. I had always been interested in writing music for orchestras and large ensembles, but that experience reinforced in me the love I have for musical expression, and helped me dedicate my remaining high school and tertiary years to persuing composition as a career. 

 

Since then;

• I completed my BMUS: Composition (2012) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music

• Was the recipient of the Esther Rofe Scholarship for a female student who shows promise in the field of            composition

• Worked with the Australian National Academy of Music on my piece 'Levitas' for Brass Quintet, resulting in performances at the Sofitel Hotel, Melbourne and Federation Square. 

• Arranged the score for BLOC Music Theatre's junior production of Disney's Alice in Wonderland

• Completed the first movement of my piano concerto; to be performed by the Ballarat Symphony Orchestra in June this year (2014)
